Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2016 – 29/04/2016

Hoy ha sido un día un poco triste porque ha acabado la Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week.

Today was a sad day because the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week came to an end.

Nuestro día se ha centrado básicamente en un desfile Pronovias. Antes de comenzar el desfile estuvimos en el photocall donde fotografiamos a algunos invitados como Chiara Ferragni y su hermana Valentina Ferragni, Louise Roe, Dafne Fernández, Malena Costa, Amaia Salamanca y Katherine Schwarzenegger.
Our day was focused basically in one fashion show Pronovias. Before the start of the runway we took pictures in the photocall were we portrayed some guests such as Chiara Ferragni and her sister Valentina Ferragni, Louise Roe, Dafne Fernández, Malena Costa, Amaia Salamanca and Katherine Schwarzenegger.Pronovias presentó su colección Atelier Pronovias 2017 llamada Le Ciel, una colección que se caracterizó por líneas fluidas y materiales ligeros que dibujaban una novia de una elegancia contemporánea, para la que la comodidad era la mejor aliada de la belleza y que estudiaba patrones y tejidos para moldear una silueta esbelta, que se potenciaba en tres líneas que protagonizaban la temporada: Imperio, Sirena y Gran Volumen.
Un desfile precioso donde desfilaron modelos reconocidas como Irina Shayk, Cindy Bruna, Romee Strjiid, Jac Jagaciak y Kate Grigorieva.
Pronovias showed his collection Atelier Pronovias 2017 called Le Ciel, a collection that was characterised by ’17 fluid contours and light materials that depicted a bride with contemporary elegance for whom comfort was beauty’s best ally, and also studied patterns and fabrics for shaping a slender silhouette, forming three lines that were featured in the season: Imperio, Sirena, and Gran Volumen.
A wonderful runway with renowned models such as Irina Shayk, Cindy Bruna, Romee Strjiid, Jac Jagaciak y Kate Grigorieva.

Nos encontramos en el penúltimo día de la Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, pero aún así seguimos trabajando con mucha ilusión y ganas. A continuación podéis ver los desfiles a los que hemos asistido:

We are at the penultimate day of the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, nonetheless we are still working with a lot of energy and hopes. Hereafter you can see all the fashion shows we attended today:

MARYLISE & REMBO STYLING:
Participaron por primera vez en el desfile y presentaron dos colecciones Marylise y Rembo Styling.
Marylise era una colección para la tipica novia clásica que ama el romance y quiere brillar el día de su boda. Mientras que Rembo Styling consistía en vestidos modernos y ligeros con un estilo destilado, pero aún así cada una de sus creaciones era única.
It was their first time taking part in the fashion show and they presented two collections Marylise and Rembo Styling.
Marylise was a collection made for the typical classic bride who loves romance and wants to sparkle on her wedding day. While, Rembo Styling consisted on modern and light dresses with a distilled style, but despite that, each of her creations were unique.

ISABEL ZAPARDIEZ: 
Presentó la colección La sombra de Venus la cual pretendía mostrar instantes tan mágicos como contemplar la sombra de Venus, un fenómeno astronómico que sucede en contadas ocasiones, cuando este planeta pasa directamente entre la Tierra y el sol, mostrándose como una pequeña sombra que atraviesa su cara visible. Momentos irrepetibles en los que podemos disfrutar de un aura efímera y momentánea, tal y como le sucede a una novia.
Presented her collection called La sombra de Venus which tried to show magical moments like observing the shadow of Venus, an astronomical phenomenon that occurs on rare occasions when the planet passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, appearing as a small shadow crossing over its visible surface. Once-in- a-lifetime moments when we can delight in a fleeting and ephemeral aura, like a wedding day.

ANA TORRES:
Presentó la colección Sakura y Azahar, una colección inspirada en la emoción con la que se celebra la llegada de la flor en multitud de países con festivales como la feria de las flores de Medellín, el Chelsea Flower Show, el Hanami de Japón, que celebra el nacimiento de la sakura o flor del cerezo, así como el mes de mayo cordobés, o Mes de las Flores. En esta colección podemos apreciar un contraste entre el diseño urbano y la vegetación, con numerosas estampaciones florales que infunden a las prendas una sensación de calma y serenidad, mezclando una paleta cromática que abarca tonalidades como los magenta, aurora red, iced coffee o snorkel blue.
Introduced her collection Cherry and Orange Blossoms, a collection inspired by the enthusiasm from with which in many different countries is celebrated the arrival of spring, with festivals such as the Feria de las Flores in Medellín; the Chelsea Flower Show; Japan’s Hanami, which celebrates the blooming of the sakura, or cherry blossom; and the month of May, or Month of Flowers, in Córdoba. In this collection we could see a great variety of floral prints infuse the garments with a sense of calmness and serenity, blending from a palette of tones including magenta, aurora red, iced coffee, and snorkel blue, soft yet compelling colors that evoke a gentle nightfall or a flower ready to bloom.

GALIA LAHAV:
Presentó su colección de novias titulada “N2 de Gala por Galia Lahav” con un estilo urbano romántico. Conocida por ser una de las marcas de moda de alta costura más prestigiosas del universo, especializado en vestidos de novia y ropa ocasional, además, el diseñador y creador ha vestido a varias celebridades como Jennifer López, la modelo Australiana Dani Lawrence y la cantante Jana Kramer, ayudándoles a brillar en el altar o en la alfombra roja.
Introduced her bridal collection entitled “N2 of GALA by Galia Lahav” in a romantic urban style. Known for being one of the most prestigious labels in the haute couture universe specializing in bridal dresses and occasion wear, moreover, the label’s designer and creator has dressed numerous celebrities such as Jennifer López, Australian model Dani Lawrence and singer Jana Kramer, helping them to shine at the altar or on the red carpets.

After the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week opening day, we woke up with more energy than ever to cover the following fashion shows:

JESÚS PEIRÓ:
Presentó una colección muy dulce y nunca mejor dicho ya que los vestidos están inspirados en unos bocados que la diseñadora degustó en París, lo cual dio lugar a unos vestidos que rebosaban azúcar por las costuras. Por eso mismo su colección se llama Mirtilli, ya que es una evocación de un mundo de dulces delicias que culminan en un pastel de boda.
Introduced a very sweet collection, and it’s never said better since the dresses are inspired in some bites that the designer tasted in Paris, something that result into some dresses that exuded sugar through the seams. That is why the collection is called Mirtilli, because it is an evocation of a world of sweet delights that culminates in a wedding cake.

CRISTINA TAMBORERO:
Presentó una colección compuesta por vestidos de novia y de fiesta con aires minimalistas y cortes contemporáneos. La colección de vestidos de novia se llamaba Edén y se inspiraba en el jardín del Edén y su paisaje, mientras que la colección de fiesta, llamada Mirage se inspiraba en los desiertos, haciendo hincapié en el desierto de Rajasthan situado al norte de la India.
Introduced a collection composed by bride and party dresses with a minimalist air and contemporary cuts. The bride dresses colection was called Eden and was inspired by the Garden of Eden and its scenery, whilst the party collection, called Mirage was inspired by the desert, specifically the Rajasthan Desert in the north of India.

INMACULADA GARCÍA:
Presentó Hanami, una colección que destacó por querer transmitir la delicadeza y elegancia que le caracterizan, donde su pasión por los tejidos y el diseño daban armonía a cada uno de sus modelos, convirtiéndolos en piezas exquisitas.
Introduced Hanami, a collection that outstood for wanting to transmit the delicateness and elegance that characterise her, where her passion for fabrics and design brought harmony to each of her models, transforming them into exquisite pieces.

NAEEM KHAN:
Era uno de los diseñadores invitados al evento Barcelona Bridal Night que tuvo lugar después de su desfile, en el cual mostró sus últimas creaciones nupciales y de noche. Uno de los desfiles más esperados ya que el diseñador es conocido por vestir a mujeres internacionales de la alta sociedad como la Primera Dama de los Estados Unidos Michelle Obama, la reina Noor de Jordania, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Eva Longoria, Diane Kruger y celebridades españolas como Penélope Cruz, Isabel Preysler y Elsa Pataky, entre otras.
He was one of the guest designers at the Barcelona Bridal Night event after his catwalk show, where he showed his latest bridal and evening wear creations. A designer known for dressing international high society women such as US First Lady Michelle Obama, Queen Noor of Jordan, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Eva Longoria, DIane Kruger and Spanish celebrities such as Penélope Cruz, Isabel Preysler and Elsa Pataky, amongst many others.¡Esperamos que os haya gustado el post!

Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2016 – 26/04/2016

¡Hola a todos!
Hoy ha empezado la Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week que tendrá lugar del 26 al 29 de abril, en el palacio 8 del recinto de Montjuïc de fira de Barcelona, con los desfiles de 21 marcas nacionales e internacionales que mostrarán sus colecciones para la primavera/verano de 2017. Además estará seguido, del 29 de Abril al 1 de Mayo, por el professional trade fair que mostrará las creaciones de 260 marcas. Y también diversas actividades, como una exhibición fotográfica de Vogue Novias compuesta por 24 fotografías con distintos estilos de novia tomadas por fotógrafos reconocidos.

Today has started the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week that will take place from the 26 to the 29 of April, in Hall 8 of the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre with the catwalk shows of 21 Spanish and international labels that will be showing off their Spring/Summer 2017 collections. This is followed, from 29 April to 1 May, by the professional trade fair, featuring the creations of over 260 brands. And also a range of activities such as a photography exhibition by Vogue Brides that comprises 24 photos of different bridal styles taken by famous photographers.
Rosa Clará ha dado el pistoletazo de salida del evento con una invitada muy especial, Alexis Ren, una famosa instagramer e influencer.Y ha presentado una colección muy romántica, con minimalismo sexy y una ensoñación clásica.
Rosa Clará has kicked off the event with a very special host, Alexis Ren, a famous instagramer and influencer. And presented a very romantic collection, with sexy minimalism and a classical daydream.

We know this book for a short while ago, and we are anxious to have it! This book outstands for all the poser references and tells the story of a girl whose dream is to become a famous fashion blogger and make a living of it. Is it really as beautiful as people think it is?

-El libro de los conejitos suicidas / Bunnycides by Andy Riley

Este es el primer libro de la saga, que continua con “El regreso de los conejitos suicidas”. Una serie en la que los conejitos deciden que están hartos de este mundo y no quieren seguir viviendo. Un libro muy original, entretenido y divertido con el que seguro que os echareis unas risas.
This is the first book from the saga, which continues with “Return of the Bunny Suicides”. A serie in which some bunnies decide that they are tired of this world and they don’t want to keep on living. A very original book, entertaining and funny with which you will laugh for sure.

-Adulthood is a Myth by Sarah Andersen

Seguro que conocéis o como mínimo habéis visto el trabajo de Sarah Scribbles, una ilustradora y humorista muy popular entre los usuarios de redes sociales como Tumblr. Pues en este libro tenéis una colección de sus viñetas, que se caracterizan por bromear contando anécdotas diarias con las que la gente suele empatizar y sentirse identificada.
You know or at least you have seen Sarah Scribbles’ work for sure, a very popular illustrator and comedian between social network users such as Tumblr. In this book you have a bunch of her comic strips, that are characterised by making jokes by telling daily life anecdotes with which people use to empathise and identify with.

-A Truth as a Temple by Superbritánico

Superbritánico no puede faltar en esta lista, el año pasado tuvimos el placer de conocer a Nick y Daniel nos encantó el libro “The Lemony Pear”. Pues tienen un nuevo libro y este nos hace viajar a lo largo de nuestras vida por tal de crear una autobiografía, pero con la condición de que escribas verdades como templos, de forma que aprendes nuevas expresiones en inglés y como no, con el toque divertido de superbritánico.
Superbritánico is a must be on this list, last year we had the pleasure to meet Nick and Daniel and we loved the book “The Lemony Pear”. They have a new book, and this one makes us travel along our lives in order to create an autobiography, but with the condition that you must write the truth or as they say you must “write truths as temples”, in such a way that you learn new english expressions and as always, with the fun touch of superbritánico.

Once Upon a Time

¡Hola a todos!
Hoy vamos a hablaros de una serie que nos tiene enamoradas tanto por su historia como por su estética, pero sobretodo nos encanta la fotografía y el cuidado de cada uno de los detalles y escenografías que aparecen en escena, esta serie es Once Upon a Time.
Mucha gente la confunde con una versión española que crearon inspirándose en esta serie, pero no tiene nada que ver. Es más no es la primera vez que hemos hablado de OUAT y nos han dicho: “Aah esa serie no me gusta, vi el primer capitulo y me aburrí”. Todas las opiniones son respetables, el problema es que en base a lo que nos cuentan no tardamos mucho en darnos cuenta que la serie que han visto no es la Americana sino la versión Española.
Hi everyone!
Today we are going to talk about a serie that we are in love with because of its story and its aesthetic, but above all we love its photography and the care taken over every single detail and scenographies that appear on the scene, this serie is Once Upon a Time.
A lot of people confuse it with a Spanish version that was inspired in this serie, but it has nothing to do with it. What is more, it’s not the first time that we’ve talked about OUAT and someone says: “Ohh I don’t like that serie at all, I watched the first episode and I got bored”. All opinions are respectable, the problem is that based on what that people tell us, we don’t take long to notice that they have watched the Spanish version instead of the American one.

Once Upon a Time fue creado por Adam Horowitz y Edward Kitsis, guionistas de la serie Lost y de la película Tron: Legacy. La historia se basa en la teoría de que existe un universo paralelo al nuestro, Storybrooke, donde podemos encontrarnos con todos los personajes de los cuentos de hadas clásicos como Blancanieves, Mulán, Mérida, Anna y Elsa, Garfio, Robin Hood… pero no tienen nada que ver con los cuentos de la infancia, ya que los personajes están adaptados al mundo moderno.
La protagonista de la serie es Emma Swan una joven que vive en nuestro mundo y la cual debido a ciertas circunstancias acabará en Storybrooke, lugar donde se desarrollara la historia.
Once Upon a Time was created by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, scriptwriters of the TV serie: Lost and the movie Tron: Legacy. The story is based in the theory that it exists a parallel universe to ours, Storybrooke, where we can find all the classic fairytale characters such as Snow White, Mulán, Merida, Anna and Elsa, Hook and Robin Hood… but they have nothing to do with those childhood stories, since the characters are adapted to the modern world.
The main character of the serie is Emma Swan a young woman who lives in our world and because of certain circumstances she will end up in Storybrooke, the location where the story will take place.

No queremos hacer spoilers, por eso mismo lo que queremos enseñaros de esta serie es el increíble trabajo del equipo y del director de fotografía de esta serie, aun así avisamos que a lo largo del post veréis gifs que corresponden a capítulos de varias temporadas por lo cual os pueden avanzar acontecimientos.
Para empezar vamos a dejaros claro que es y qué hace un director de fotografía, básicamente se encarga de dibujar con luz los sueños del director, gracias a ello se consigue la estética deseada y mantener la calidad de la imagen entre otras cosas. Dicho esto queremos enseñaros algunas escenas de la serie para que entendáis porque alabamos tanto el trabajo del equipo de OUAT, ya que logran teletransportarnos al mundo de los cuentos, mundos fantásticos que logran hacernos empatizar y sentir la magia de cada escena.
We don’t want to make spoilers, that is why what we want to show about this serie is the amazing work of the team and the photography director of this serie, despite that, we warn you that along this post you will find gifs which belong to episodes from several seasons, so they can anticipate events.
To start with, we are going to clarify what is and what does a director of photography, basically he is in charge to draw with light the dreams of the director, thanks of that it is able to achieve the aesthetic wanted and to keep the quality of the images among other things. Having said this, we want to show you some scenes from the serie in order that you understand why we praise so much the work of the OUAT team, since they are able to transport us to the fairytales world, fantastic worlds which make us empathise and feel the magic of each scene.

Ivy Park by Beyoncé & Topshop

Ya ha salido el esperado video de la nueva colección de ropa deportiva que ha creado la artista Beyoncé, con el nombre de Ivy Park, para la marca de ropa británica Topshop.
El nombre de la colección proviene de la mezcla del segundo nombre de su hija, Blue Ivy Carter y del parque donde suele ir a correr, Parkwood Park.

It finally has been released the expected video of the new sportswear collection that has created the artist Beyoncé, with the name Ivy Park, for the British brand Topshop.
The name of the collection comes from a mix of her daughter’s second name, Blue Ivy Carter and the park where she usually runs, Parkwood Park.

Beyoncé ha estado durante 18 meses creando la colección con la colaboración de Philip Green, propietario de Arcadia Group, que pertenece a Topshop. El cual ha dicho que ha sido muy divertido y emocionante realizar este proyecto y está muy contento del trabajo que han realizado durante estos meses.
Beyoncé has been creating this collection during 18 months with the collaboration of Philip Green, owner of the Arcadia Group, which belongs to Topshop. He has said that it was really funny and exiting to make this project and he is really proud of the work that they have made during these months.

En las fotos promocionales y el video podemos apreciar que las prendas de la colección se destacan por las sudaderas, pantalones para correr, cintas para el pelo, chanclas y bañadores.
In the promotional photos and video we can see that the collection clothes outstand because of the sweatshirts, running pants, hair bands, flip flops and swimsuits.
